I was super excited when Laura asked if I'd make Angry Bird cookies for her oldest son's 5th birthday. I can't say I've played much of the game myself, because for some reason I'm holding strong to a four year old flip phone. Most preschoolers are more technologically savvy than I am!
Despite, or rather because of, their simplicity I was a little nervous about making these. When the image is so basic and graphic I think there's less room for error. I really like how they turned out, though.
Laura and her family live in North Carolina, so this was my first foray into shipping sugar cookies. So I sent them off with crossed fingers and a comical amount of bubble wrap. Happily they all arrived intact!
While discussing possible cupcake ideas for this baby shower, I asked about the theme of the nursery. When I learned it would be decorated with Audubon prints I thought doing something with birds would be appropriate. I was talking to a few friends about it and their first reaction was "like, the road?". Haha, I'd like to see a nursery with pictures of the Autobahn as decor!
Best wishes to the mom-to-be!
